Your Day Experience Itinerary
Settle into your luxury leather seat and enjoy complimentary at seat refreshments, as we journey to Dalemain House in the Northern Lakes, where we arrive late morning. Located near Ullswater, historic Dalemain House & Gardens is one of the most beautiful stately homes in the North West of England. We have included a guided tour before allowing you time at leisure to enjoy this magnificent house and its gardens.
Early afternoon, we transfer you to the lakeside village of Pooley Bridge, where we board one of the award winning Ullswater Steamers for a heritage cruise to Glenridding savouring the majestic scenery Ullswater has to offer. Ullswater runs a serpentine course for eight miles through expansive vistas of Lakeland’s highest mountains. Helvellyn at 3,117ft (950m) crowns Ullswater, at the South-Western end of the valley, standing on a mighty plateau approximately 9 miles (14.5km) in length and 4.5 miles (7km) wide.
On arrival in Glenridding, we rejoin our ‘exclusive’ coach for a scenic drive passing Thirlmere, Grasmere & Rydal to Bowness-on-Windermere & the 4* Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa, where a traditional three-tier afternoon tea awaits, overlooking Windermere.
Late afternoon, we depart for home taking the memories of this fabulous SELECT Day Experience home with us to arrive back at your original joining point this evening. (Included Meals - Traditional three-tier Afternoon Tea)
