 Meet The Team


Here is the team that make up TML Travel Group, which is headed up by David Arkell, who is very much the driving force behind the business. His passion for what we do is infectious and resonates throughout the whole team.

David Arkell - Managing Director

David has 35 years experience in the travel, tourism & coach sectors, having first started organising tours when we was only 14 & still at school. This unleashed a lifelong passion for travel & organising tours. He is a qualified Transport Manager for PSV operations, having gained his initial qualification in 2002.


He established TML Travel Group in April 2010 to provide special interest tours to groups, as well as offering a limited number of public high end luxury tours & a bespoke consultancy service.


During his time in the industry, he has undertaken a number roles & worked on a number of projects, London 2012 Olympics & the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games are amongst his most prestigious.

Our Wonderful Tour Managers

This page would not be complete without a mention of our three wonderful Tour Managers, who assist David in the delivery of our wonderful tours.


All our tours are accompanied by our own highly experienced, professional & friendly Tour Managers, all of whom have a background in corporate hospitality & event management. Some started out in the cruise sector, so have a background in travel also.

Michelle - Senior Tour Manager

Michelle is our most senior Tour Manager, having first worked with David in 2014, when they both worked on an international conference managing delegate transport for TBR Global around London.


Since then, Michelle has gone on to work on many of our private group tours originating out of South East England & also some of our public tours out of Yorkshire.


Nicky - Tour Manager

Nicky joined us in July 2022 to work on some of our private group tours & joined us on the hottest week in July.


Occasionally, she has been known to hold the fort in the office, so some clients may have spoken to her on the phone.


She has a strong background in corporate hospitality & event management & regularly works with Michelle, who introduced her to TML Travel Group.


Diana - Tour Manager

Diana joined us in October 2021, whilst the country was in the grips of the Coronavirus pandemic.


As well as coming from a background in cruise work, Diana works heavily in corporate hospitality & event management.
